its definitely used in real life....a month or two ago, my man was tryin to get with this bangin' ass chick (eventually got with her), and one night he was hitting her up trying to get over to her spot. She got irritated, and was like "you're acting like a real simp right now". Shes a white girl, and not one of those black culture obsessed honk girls either.
