He was doomed from the start by immediately imitating his father. The same problem happened with Curtis Axel. Both of them dudes are/were good wrestlers, but they didn't have the charisma to pull off the exact same characters as their fathers.
They still do this today with Charlotte basically playing the same character as Ric Flair. It just happened to workout for her.
Edit - Add Harry Smith to the list too. They basically tried making him exactly like the British Bulldog.
When did they try to make Curtis Axel like mr.perfect? His name was Micheal mcgilicutty to purposesly not remind people of mr.perfect.... he briefly called himself "better than perfect" for like 2 weeks which doesn't count because he already failed as a character not trying to be his father... then he failed trying to be his father ... he just sucks
And dibiase... I don't remember the timeline of his run too much but I could've sworn him with the million dollar belt only lasted for about 2 weeks aswell.. don't recall if it was before or after legacy... legacy started to suck when it became racist... they should've made it a big stable including all the legends children instead of white boys only.
And Ted Jr. Looked generic as fukk and I do not remember him being able to talk at all..
They didn't try to make DH Smith like the British bulldog at all... his run I do remember because he got fired just as quickly as her started... he didn't wear British shyt or do anything remotely close to his pops. He may have did a running powerslam one time...
But anyway it's just like basketball players if your pops was a legend you're gonna be trash
And if your pops was a scrub you're destined for greatness... it's just the way of the world
