Not as scared of getting old, as I am afraid of looking old. Last month I kinda went through a bit of a depression around my 24th birthday cause I felt I was aging bad and gettin wrinkles lol

I honestly feel it's scarier watching everyone around me get old :sadcam:

I don't mind it for myself tho.

No. I'm in good shape. Look good for my age. Actually I look ten times better than I did when I was younger. I feel enlightened nowadays. Almost in a (dare I say it) godly mindstate. I've been around since 1984. I've been skating since 1990. I'm still in the game. I'm better than I ever was. I got wisdom. Knowledge. Understanding. I love life and I'm living dammit!

I think I'm moreso afraid to being old and BROKE.

at times, especially when you think about how shyt was as a kid and how much things have changed. we're blessed to have all of the conveniences of technology/information but just trying to survive as an adult sucks when times (economically) are hard. it sucks to have some of your "good years" wasted by hard times especially when you know you have the ability to do it better and shyt just sucks. at least when some of these teenagers get to their mid-20s, times will hopefully be better and they can swag it out.

but its a reminder that i just need to do shyt now and stop waiting for things to miraculously get better. i dont wanna have regrets about not doing shyt and trying to make up for lost time. once something is done, its done.

tho, the older i get i start to feel like none of this shyt matters so why not wild out and do what the fukk I want. meanwhile, one of the main things is to try to avoid getting flabby and sick :flabbynsick: and focus on self preservation and getting this $$$

I'm really just worried about the world around me more than myself as I get older. My body is strong, my mind is strong, and my spirit is strong...but it seems the older I get the more society turns to shyt and people fall weak to technology, media oversaturation, and complete narcissism with a combination of apathetic mindlessness. Between this, the world economic situation, and the eventual collapse of the government...I don't know how much longer I can take this before I want to just build a rocket to get off this planet to be alone (sarcasm).

I moreso worry about my family. I'm happy they're still in my life and I'll love and cherish them cause I know they won't be here forever.

Honestly, this type of mindset reminds me of why I focused so hard on workinng out and getting in shape between 2011 to last year. I wanted to actually prove to myself that I could be the person I wanted to be and that I could improve my life. I worked out 5-days a week for 42 weeks. I hit the gym, I did kickboxing, I did weights, water aerobics, and even yoga. I was in the best shape of my life and lost almost 100 pounds. I look at myself then and it made me realize that life is nothing. I can kick it's ass and come out on top if I worked hard at it. And it inspires me to this day.

I had to do what was best for me at the end of the day. No one's going to look out for you forever. That's why I can't stand these lazy trust fund hipsters in NYC. They're almost like the polar opposite of poor folk on welfare because like with government assistance, trust funds encourage these kids to not want to aspire to be anything except scrape by. They seem to live their lifes blissfully unaware that one day...that money's not going to be there. Either their parents are gonna croak or they'll go broke trying to fund their BS lifestyle.

Sorry for the rant...but TL:DR- Growing older shouldn't mean growing up.

The only real regrets I have are from the abuse I put my body through smoking cigarettes, drinking and doing various drugs over the years. I've been thinking just about going straight edge and just eating a vegetarian diet, not drinking alcohol, and not smoking weed or cigarettes anymore. I love to smoke weed...but over the years smoking weed all the time gets boring
