We Black Americans will deal with this the same way we have dealt with it in the past. None of this is new to us. We have constantly tried to warn everyone else about this, but we were ignored in favor of listening to the system tell them that Black Americans are lazy and deserve the treatment we received. Well, now other non-White groups are getting that same treatment, and lo and behold, they are getting mighty angry with Black Americans who have made it clear we are not going to be their shields and mules.
As I have said before, my main concern is only for the issues of Black Americans in the US. I will give the same energy to other groups that they gave us in the past. Oh, and by the way, most Black Americans never said we would not be harassed by the Trump stormtroopers. What we have attempted to make clear is that we are always harassed by the stormtroopers, no matter who is in office. We are always first on the chopping block, first to have fingers pointed at us and be shunted into prisons, and first to suffer from poor policies put into place. We understand quite well how poorly we have been and continue to be treated in this country. It's just that now, many of us also know how many of you non-Black Americans really feel about us and are simply maintaining that same energy.
So to put it simply, many of us are stating to you directly to keep that same energy you had when the pressure was mainly only on Black Americans.

Among those who have reported being harassed: a ride-share driver stopped for not wearing a seat belt despite having one on as she drove a passenger to the airport; a pastor pulled over for looking lost as she left a church gathering; and, in a case of mistaken identity, a 72-year-old man roused from bed and marched out of his apartment while clad in only his robe and underwear.
None of these people were ultimately ticketed or arrested.
