I wanted to make a thread asking the guys on here what did their parents teach them all about the way women are supposed to treat them. I always hear "teach your sons how to treat a lady and teach your daughters how they should be treated by a man". I've never heard anything about the opposite & I wanted to ask women on here what they learned about the way they are supposed to treat men.
I would also like to know what they are teaching their kids about they way the should treat the opposite sex.

I think men in their daughter loves treat them nicer. That's what I'm going to do

Most People go easy on their daughters and treat them like delicate flowers. This is one of the main reasons for problems between the genders. So dudes that do this are part of the problem.

Women arent taught to respect men the same reason Blacks arent taught 'Whites are human too'. Men would lose nothing if we didnt respect them, sis. But men not respecting women has women ending up dead, raped and systematically hurt. I've never been taught to respect men but to be cautious, aware, and hold my own.

Yep but what does us not respecting them do to them?

Thats like saying Blacks should respect Whites. There needs to be an emphasis. Only dudes can end sexism. Only Whites can end racism. Some dont wanna hear that.

I do agree and practice that respect is given on contact despite how you are dressed, what your race/gender/religion is.

look how Trey momma in boys n the hood did. Sent him off to his daddy then when he doing him she wanna call talking bout "when you gone come see me?" "you don't call no more" "you wanna move back here?"

my momma used to say soon as I graduated I would have to move out her house. Years later when I moved one state over she was boo-hooing.

Just because that's how you've learned to deal with men doesn't mean every woman has. Some women don't respect men and hurt them, domestic violence, rape, or even murder. Women need to learn that men are here so that we can rest our feet upon their backs and so they can have our seeds.

let your daughter do whatever she want to do as a kid, that way she wont rebel as a teen

i think you should teach both boys and girls that no one owes them anything, they're not entitled to anything (including respect or certain treatment based on their gender) and that if they want respect they have to either make people want to respect them or force them to respect them.

teaching them entitlement only sets them up for disappointment and bitterness IMO.
