I agree. However, nobody can have 100% complete control over their money. You can only control what you have despite whatever happens with the money that does to taxes, ect. Now, I know one should not worry about what they can't control but shyt like that bugs me (paying taxes and not seeing the benefits of it).
I think I feel the way I do about money because of my upbringing. My family is one to "keep up with the Jones's" and they thrive off of the shyt. Although they are mainly middle to upper-middle class blacks, it seems like money is their main source of being. Ive always hated that... it's easy for people to go to work everyday but not spend time with their loved ones. Or spend $500 on some bullshyt but not invest into the community ect. I know at the end of the day it's a matter of priorities but money for me has never been one of them.
I'm in a very morbid mood today... please forgive me![]()
You use government services that your taxes go towards sustaining, everyday. Whether it be driving on roads or getting your mail delivered. I'm personally o k with not knowing specifically where my few hundred in tax dollars went.
The more money you have, the more options you have to invest in things that you want and most importantly work on things you want to work on. Even if you keep a shytty job, having money allows you to take off without worrying about how much vacation time you have. My plan this year is to put away a month's salary and then just take off work(with approval of course) for a month. It's worth it to me to spend my own money on that vs be at work miserable and worrying about vacation time.
