I feel the same. There are so many other things in life that I think about more than money. There are times when you have it and there are times when you don't. :manny:

True. But it depends on what that "freedom" is since it isn't the same for everybody. For some people it's opportunities to travel, for others it's to buy more shyt, for other's it's to invest, ect.

Money can't buy the type of freedom I want so I don't even bother.

what freedom do u want?

I'm obsessed with doing smart things with the money I'm currently making. I check my budget regularly and make assessments on spending and make adjustments if necessary.

Not in the least bit. If anything, money is more of a hindurance than a blessing often times. It rules most peoples lives and it has all of us enslaved in a sense. Well, the system does not necessarily "money", but you get my jist.

I often times wish I could live in a world or society that didn't soley operate on a monetary basis.

I'm sorry that you feel that way but money can provide you options and with options come freedom.

When I hear people say bad things about having money, I just conclude they don't have control over theirs. Knowing where every penny is going and what it's doing in return makes money more enjoyable, imo. If you control the resources available to you, you will naturally obtain more resources.

Because it gives you options and having options = freedom.
Yea

I do think people obsess more over just having money more than having the option to do smarter/better things with it

MFers grind to buy useless shyt :wtf: People obsess over money w/o understanding its value

money = freedom

Its nice to have money but u don't need to be a millionaire to feel free.

I live within my means and I don't have much money and still, I feel pretty good about my situation.

I think once u have children money becomes more important cause u have to provide for them but I'm kid free right now so I'm good.

Also, I don't strive to be a millionaire, balling outta control and living in luxury.

I understand why some people want that lifestyle, specially if u grew up poor but having lived with money and without it, its just not that important to me as long as I got a roof over my head and food on the table.

Wanting more money doesn't necessarily mean living like "a millionaire". Most millionaires do not live like "millionaires". I don't think its a bad thing at all, to strive to make more money, as long as it doesn't compromise your values or ability to connect w/others

I never said it was a bad thing. Its just not really my thing, money doasen't move me that much.

If ur into money that's cool, its not that important to me is what I'm saying.

I want the type of freedom that no one has. Where you work because you want to, not because you have to. Where you own your home, the land on it, and are not required to pay taxes on it. Where all food is organic and unchemically/genetically altered and not an arm and a leg to buy. Where people were closer to each other and could actually depend on their fellow man without fear of being backstabbed, manipulated, ect.

Where the systems and governments of the world are for the people and not against them.

I am a dreamer by nature so the freedom/ life I want will only happen either once I die or never.:wow:

Not obsessed with money but I do want to be financially stable and be in a position to not have it be an issue. I'm too much of a romantic to let something like money stress me out.

I've been lucky enough to have some nice things at a very young age so most material things mean nothing to me.

I agree. However, nobody can have 100% complete control over their money. You can only control what you have despite whatever happens with the money that does to taxes, ect. Now, I know one should not worry about what they can't control but shyt like that bugs me (paying taxes and not seeing the benefits of it).

I think I feel the way I do about money because of my upbringing. My family is one to "keep up with the Jones's" and they thrive off of the shyt. Although they are mainly middle to upper-middle class blacks, it seems like money is their main source of being. Ive always hated that... it's easy for people to go to work everyday but not spend time with their loved ones. Or spend $500 on some bullshyt but not invest into the community ect. I know at the end of the day it's a matter of priorities but money for me has never been one of them.

I'm in a very morbid mood today... please forgive me:wow:

Yeah, that's pretty much how I feel.
