In no way was the movie trash but it was definitely disappointing to me. I felt the trailers gave a little too much away and it ended up being somewhat predictable.

I also thought the pacing was off. Slow start.. fine, I expected that but there was a hell of a lot of build for a climax that felt rushed.

With that said, I did like most of the story, the visuals were amazing and there were a couple suspense parts that were very well done..

no different groups came back to earth. remember that the paintings were found on different parts of earth that dated back to different times. it shows that they were repeatedly visiting us and co-existing with us.

and this points to a duality that there are groups from that species that are politically divided as pro humans (the kinds that visited earth and were shown co-existing peacefully with them in cave paintings) and groups that are against humans (the engineer that was brought out of stasis and wanted to kill every human he saw)

Ya trailers did give away a lot should of kept it the way the trailers first come out not show much to keep the suspense still a solid movie though can't complain much here

i dont see him being marooned. in the 2nd hologram, there seems to be multiple galaxaies that had planets with life sustaining capabilites, earth was singled out because thats what david was familiar with.

i'm prolly gonna go see it again in a few hours tho

Also, I really understand peoples critiques with the plot, and there was very little suspense with in the film, I also don't like personally how they include the space jockey/engineer in the film. Just seemed very lazy writing to me

I was extremely hyped about this film and was left at the end. Film's solid and I really hope there is going to be a director's cut cause this film leaves a lot to be desired.

shyt was an absolute epic. This isnt for the texting in the theater A.D.D. crowd. This is grownups scifi. There's plenty of action though too.

I agree it left lots of questions, but do you want everything tied up in a bow and explained? Even the original alien left us hanging for over 30 years () about who the space jockey was.

10/10 for me. Cant wait to see it again

I'd tell anyone to keep their expectations in check because if you're expecting to see Alien ver. 2012 it's not that type of party.

but IMO they are definitely setting the stage for a 'grander' universe in the Alien mythos and this was just the starting point for it.

Being that this isn't a direct prequel to alien it's not supposed to tie anything up. I have to take options on these boards with a grain of salt. I will be going tomorrow and expect a great flick
