Once he woke up, he targetted earth and looked like he was back on his grind of paying earth a visit. Why wait for someone to wake you up for that.

They are obviously intelligent and warriors so its not like you get woken up, attacked by a cac with a shotgun and then just go back to sleep for another hundred years. How did that one cat survive 2000 years of sleep while the others didn't

I thought they were planning on going to Earth to destroy humans because humans had destroyed one of their own (Jesus Christ)???

I also thought they were put to sleep for the span of the trip & while they were sleep the Engineers who were still awake and prepping the ship, etc lost control of something & that's what killed them off. It would make sense that the ship never got off the ground and there were no Engineers left to wake up the sleeping ones...

Im still not ruling out that they didnt want to actually destroy humanity but evolve or use them for something else. If i was writing the film, id have it like they were at war with a separatist group of engineers who turned themselves into xenomorphs. In an effort to combat them they created a planet of human beings which they would let evolve to a certain level and then turn them into engineers or another life form to help combat this other world menace.

THen, id ruin the film by making the otherworld menace a by product of The Predators and have the final showdown between engineers and Predators. The engineers would lose and humanity was given the keys to their evolution and are able to do whatever they want with that information. But obviously, the info ends up in the hands of some corporatists so, the struggle wages on.

That makes sense, maybe the ones still in hypersleep were the "officers" of the ship, the grunts lost control of the ooze, one of them worms might've got in some of it and somehow impregnated an engineer and created the alien thing at the end

Its interesting how the black shyt effects things differently, like your intentions changed how it effected you. In the very beginning that engineer drinks it and it disassembles his dna and he falls into the waterfall but when that geologist nikka had it he turned into a murderous monster. What if they intended to send Jesus to purify the intentions and souls of the human race in an effort to use the goo to evolve them but then they crucified him
