Key things to a strong empire...military, economy, and innovation. That last reason is why China hasn't surpassed the US yet. They copy, they don't create. Quite frankly, I don't think they will...anytime soon.

This isn't some pro-US rant...just nothing is happening in the near future. If the US falls anytime soon, best believe the world isn't too far behind and that's by design.

America dominant military gap is getting smaller. For instance America’s monopoly on steal fighter jets is about to end because Russia,India and China are about have their own versions. Plus China has expanded their military such a rapid pace. For example the last four years China has built an equivalent of the entire French navy. Now imagine that will be like in 15 years. Next Russian and Chinese adavamced weapons are about to be more commons place which will hinder American freedom of movement. Iran has the S300 anti aircraft missiles which basically makes an air bombardment of Iran from being difficult to downright almost impossible. China is leading in the AI game at a time Trumpt and the republicans want to cut scientific research.

America has a lot of economical long term issues that will have to be dealt with such as healthcare, pension crisis, America’s debt, student loan crisis, the Republican tax plan basically guarantees America will be facing massive problems in the long term. If interest rates rise the country will have a debt crisis. America is like what Rome was before the crisis of the third century. What led to that near collapse of Rome was that military spending was increased that led to debasement of the currency. Rome only survived through the leadership of Diocletian and Aurelian. I doubt this country would survive some shyt like that. And today we see the Republicans want to increase military spending while cutting taxes which means a bigger deficit which means more debt and borrowing. At some point this shyt will end.

True, but you know what I'm saying, no matter what it was or where it was they still called themselves Romans. I'm not coming at it from a political angle. Suppose America turns into a monarchy or a communist state tomorrow, you're still going to call yourselves Americans, still going to speak English, and your lives are not going to change all that much in the grand scheme. Certainly, there's not going to be any apocalyptic Hollywood scenario like what's played out in the OP, coming out of a regime change.

We spend more than everyone relevant combined...and it's been that way for 60 years. China is not anywhere near the US...moreover they're not trying to be. China just wants a strong enough military that they can't be bytched around. The only nation in the world concerned with and spending to maintain an empire is the US.

You need proxy bases and aircraft carriers; of which the US has 20...The rest world combined have 12... China has 1.

I'll say again, economic collapse is the only way this country will fall apart in the next 50 years...and if the US falls apart in the next 50 years, the rest of the world will be right behind it.
