Are you really a 90's baby if you're born through 95-99?

I realize this is all opinion, however in mine, you are a kid of whatever decade you spent the majority of your childhood in (0-17). So a true 90s kid would be someone born from the years '81-'89. 1980 and 1990 kids are cusp kids; they were born in the 90s just like the real 00s kids, yet lived every year of the decade, so they're on the fence. So the ideal year to be a 90s kid would be someone born in 1981 or perhaps '82; you turned 8 around the start of the 90s, and started your senior year in high school/graduated high school in the 90s. You watched all of the early 90s cartoon shows and sitcoms air live episodes (DuckTales, Pirates of Dark Water, original TMNT, Fresh Prince, C.O.P.S.) and saw Jordan play live, can remember the arcades and video games released from the early 90s and forward. YOU FULLY LIVED THIS DECADE!

THESE ARE TRUE 90s KIDS. So if you were born after 1989 (again, I consider 1990 to be a hybrid), YOU'RE NOT A 90s kid, fukk off
This is what I thought too. I never considered myself to be an 80's kid because I was a child in the 80's. I grew up on 90's shyt during my preteens and teens. If you were born in the 90's, you have no fukking idea what it was like, you grew up on 2000's shyt

It matters cause I'll see kids born in 97 talking about how they miss the 90s :childplease: This is your era claim this one it's yours.

93 is the cut off if you were born after that you wasn't a 90's baby. You didn't experience the WWF, PlayStation 1, Nintendo 64. You wasn't in the field when y2k dropped and nikkas was hoarding food. You wasn't riding around with walkmen's and making collect calls. 1990 right here :salute:
Someone born in 1993 didn't do most of that shyt either...even you were pretty young for all of that

I actually think you have have been born in the early 80s to be a "90s baby" being a "preteen" and an adolescent in the 90s would qualify you for it (the toys, television shows, movies, school life, clothing, concerts, and college) anyone older would have experienced an early decade, and anyone younger probably wouldn't have "experienced" the decade properly. I was born in 96 but I'm definitely a child of the early aughts, I got some of the residual 90s, but I wasn't trying my first joint to Digable Planets or anything.
I know a lot of people my would be offended by this, but you're not 90s babies :manny: it doesn't matter how many times you saw Trainspotting and Pulp Fiction :mjcry:

This. You have to be born in the 80s to be a 90s kid but 90s baby's are 00s kids.
I agree with this. I was born in 87 but remember alot from the early 90's like getting cable hooked up and not having disney because it was a premium channel, or the first drop of Animaniacs and Power Rangers.

You can quickly tell if someone's a 90s kid by what they remember. I bring up shows like My brother and me and Pete and Pete and "90s kids" don't have a clue about 'em. I remember seeing Dave chappelle HBO special when my dad first got digital cable in like 98/99.
