I was real bad in my mid-twenties. Getting much better at letting go, but there's still some incidences where I'm vindictive then feel guilty. Revenge is not Godly.

Nope because I get it off my chest right then and there. Holding grudges and being vindictive is some weak sh1t that passive cats do to cope.

No, but I never forget, and I play dumb. Im not a vindictive sneak. If we take it there, I prefer the direct approach, but I hold no grudges.

What i will say is cultivate, clean boundaries, levity, and placidity.....resentment/grudges will cease to be a thing you do. Devoting too much energy to understanding it, still feeds it. Understanding resentment is only necessary in so far as understanding your own shortcomings.

Resentment basically comes from repeatedly asking something to become different from itself, rather than

  • avoiding it exactly as it is, or
  • managing it exactly as it is, or
  • accepting it exactly as it is
