Firstly, it's not about "beating" them, it's about COMPETING with them. Must be careful with language.

i use to have the IDEOLOGY that i had to be amongst "cerebal" idaealist thinking people in order to not only succeed but find happiness in life...
found out that was wrong.....i find a healthy sense of materalisim is a good way of building not only drive (passion) but a sense of self value ...which really enhanced my pride in myself in all aspects of life....
i also was very TRIBALIST as a youngster growing up in the tristate...before i moved down south to attend college...i was under the assumption that all my southern black brothers and sisters were slow thinking childlike people....
found out as well i was dead wrong ....what i realize is that southerners are very practical when it comes to thinking and putting thier thoughts into play and it makes life alot more complicated and enjoyable...cause they are not overthinking an issue and are able to feel secure by simplyfying the methods..music definitly showed that...as far as the production ...lyrics..and business aspect..the south is right on point by getting to the bare essentials without convuluting the issue of creativity and commerce in music
i was also a RELIGIOUS FUNDAMENTALIST when it came to my beliefs....i looked with condescendence and judgement on my christian...and islamic brothers .....because i as a 5%er actually saw myself as being "better" than these people.......
found out i was wrong on that perspective as well.....while interacting with many people of various religious paths..ive learned to find the common ground as opposed to our differences...and it was a beautiful experience.....reading a Sufi text taught me that.....so i don't engage in religous dogma debates......my philosophy in regards to the absolute spiritual truth...is SAME SHYT..DIFFERENT TOILET...cause at the end of the day ALL RELIGIONS and even my school of thought is SUBJECTIVE...
and ever since i made these CHANGES....i've been able to improve my financial status SIGNIFICANTLY...
cause i don't make BUSINESS PERSONAL....
my main vendor is chinese...and my distribution partner is a white southerner...and my accounts manager is a middle aged christian black woman
these are people ten years ago i would have

and i enjoy my bond with all of them.......
because i realize the power of RELATIONSHIPS
a wise man once said....when you have RELATIONSHIPS...you will always have ACCESS TO MONEY
