Great points. I think what a lot of folks who don't pay attention to the world and run off with their mouths fail to understand that the world has changed. Comparing a small city business in the 1950s to a multinational company in a global economy in 2022 are two different things.

Like you said the bus boycott took a long time and even then black folks were over 50% of the customers. The bus company was not a multinational company with investors all around the world. Nor was the customers majority people who are non black.

So jokers are a got damn fool if they think black folks by themselves are going to boycott these white owned multinational companies to stop promoting rappers whose fans are all around the world and not even black. Black folks don't consume most of this music or consume most of these products globally. That is the main issue with all of this. Add to the fact these nonblack American folks got countries, money and allies globally that we do not have. We can't pay off politicians like the folks who got Kanye out the paint. We can't use our country (cause we ain't got one) to leverage and bargain with powerful folks (as the Jewish folks do with wealthy evangalicals) to do favors for us. Nor can we leverage our money that we have internationally to make banks do as we say. Nor do we have an entire industry on lock (entertainment and hollywood) that is an arm of the US government to push stereotypes, American consumerism for Multinational corporations and US propaganda globally. Another reason folks need to stop comparing US to THEM.

Add to the fact that Globally black people's talents / bodies are an asset / commodity to the rest of the non black world and it has been like that for the last 500 years. Their view of black people is to use them up and get as much profit (as well as pleasure) out of them before discarding them like a used soft drink bottle. Including that non black people (especially in the western world) enjoy black folks entertaining them in the most stereotypical way and will pay large sums of money (or are able to make large sums of money) to watch this. Whether its images of murder in music, images or poor social behavior/ drug addiction/homosexuality or disfunction on TV/Movies. Or just using black folks as props on why the country is having issues. Non black people are willing to spend top dollar and can make money themselves with black people being the face of all of this. So thinking black folks are going to boycott away something that non black people enjoy taking part in globally is wishful thinking.

I say this as a person who has travelled all around the world and no matter where I am these stereotypes of black folks exist and these non black folks eat it up. It ain't got nothing to do with the N-word or gangsta music or black folks sagging. When I can be in latin america and a show comes on with a white latin in black face using black stereotypes. Then 30 minutes later on another show they got a black entertainer dancing and the white latins in the crowed singing along and cheering. Or how I would work in China where profanity on TV or the radio ain't allowed. Where they play the sensored rap music and ain't a black person to be seen. But the only black people I would see would be some chinese cheering on the black Chinese basketball players and on Tuesdays the TV show Empire (yes Empire came on and was the only black show that came on in all of China) would come on.
