Neck ties and boxing gloves.
"There's no such thing as halfway privilege just like...there's no such thing as halfway crooks. We know that truth from the great poet, Havok of Mobb Deep, who observed true criminal minds are always thirsty for recognition but you don't see longevity from halfway crooks...because they always end up...shook."

So many quotables.

This was the comedy I didn't know I needed today.

Ari's a real one.

both things can be true

he's having fun and its used to get on the good side of black people.
marketing.

"rock the vote"

Or he's bonding over a shared love for something like...a...whats the word?

Human being.

He's a journalist on a major news network not a politician during election season.

Do you really think that MSNBC survives based on "the Hip Hop viewership "?

The 87 percent viewership who are 35 and older (60 percent being 55 and older) that are being pandered to buy products by advertisers like Sleep Number beds and Omaha Steaks?

Is that what Lil Durk and Ice Spice are rapping about?

Smart beds and home delivered premium steaks?

Or is that lame cac shyt? For the people who make up the mass majority of their viewership and who determines their ratings.

I'm all for cynicism just not to the point of going blind.

the fact that that type of shyt works on black folks :francis:
Is a white person liking hip hop some sort of crime? A good portion of his audience doesn't care about rap. My parents love Ari's show and they in their 70s and don't mess with rap at all. I don't think he's doing it as some sort of way to get support I think he just likes the music and expresses that.
