So. Cal
So? What the fukk does that statement even mean? Idiots being idiots trying to sound clever.

Comedy is comedy and Dave Chapelle is one of the most talented artists I have ever seen grab the mic. Just because he doesn't have a certain style, or doesn't lean towards a certain audience that doesn't make him anything other than a great comedian in HIS lane. End of, no debate.
I would rep you but i guess you turned it off. 100% agree thi

Kinda true, because on the flip side look how many black dudes here fukk with or like Bill Burr, and that motherfukker is whiter than bobcat goldthwait

Yep. This board takes too much emphasis on black or white. fukk that shyt man, Dave Chapelle is the GOAT comedian - I've seen him do topics on everything. He is the most diverse, most talented performer/comedian I have ever seen. The hood, the president, weed, culture, celebrity, politics, slavery. Man oh man I can go on and on and on.

There is nobody that can fukk with Dave Chapelle, the dude just doesn't miss a note.

Black people who knew him liked him,but he never made that aggressive move to capitalize to be THAT black comic.....You gotta give him credit, because that's how most black comedians who gain the type of popularity get it....They usually have to be "that nikka" among black folks first, and then they crossover once they reach they peak with us.....Outside of Eddie I cant think of too many black comedians that kindve bypassed us but still got us in the end:patrice:?That's hard to do,but shows how well rounded dude is.

I saw Half Baked and liked em,and remember him being a scene stealer in Nutty Proffesor,Blue Streak,Undercover Brother.

He wasn't big for mainstream black audiences until the Chappelle's Show, but he was still known to most black people who were into comedy. He had a few performances on Def Comedy Jam (one of them posted on here). He had the funniest/most memorable scene in Nutty Professor. If you followed comedy (basically if you were black and watched Def Comedy Jam at least), or that major movie, I don't know how you were not hip to him.
