Chappelle is the most complete comedian since Murphy.

Plus chappelle's show played like the spiritual successor to the Richard Pryor show.

Before Chappelle's show, black comedy ain't been about shyt since Martin Tv show. Yeah Jamie Foxx and Waynes brothers were funny, but it wasn't fukking with Martin, and they couldn't carry the torch until Chappelle came out.

crazy cuz i was thinking just today that if the chapelle show was on BET i probably would've fukked with it.
it had a "we're laughing at you not with you" vibe whenever i would hear cacs rave about it.

I agree. I didn't really know about the Chappell Show until some white and asian co workers were telling me about it. The way they would go on and on about it gave me that vibe of "we're laughing at you not with you."
