I can understand why there are brehs who aren't down to comply in order to put the situation at ease. Most of them feel violated in that moment and would like to get that point across verbally. On the other hand, I can understand those who are perfectly fine showing proof of purchase/ID/etc to disarm the situation and keep it moving. No matter what, we'll always be profiled. That's just something that comes with being Black.

Pretty much. Dude is taking the word of his staff about this shyt when he could do his job and confirm what they said by just looking at the security camera. If it confirms that, then you proceed. Other than that, fukk outta my face.

Nah just show the ticket stub, prove him wrong and then put in a complaint to upper management if he felt violated. He'd probably get some sort of compensation for it. Why try to escalate the situation by saying "fuk that, get out of my face"? That never works and it only creates a bigger problem.

Besides, Security aint gonna leave you there to do whatever and then go find the tape and go through all of that unless it's the last solution.

As a movie goer, this has never happened to me....but I understand his frustration...

I wouldn't scream at anyone....but I would cause a commotion...

i would have done the same thing depending on how i'm feeling that day. Since they want to make a scene out of me and parade me outta theater, let it build up and show the ticket after that clown lied. Caught them lying. And that clown ass manager popping shyt about "you violated our rules when you flashed the light"....he only did that cuz the police was there.

I tried to parallel how I operate in the club back in the day with dealing with a$$holes or dikkhead celebs or unruly people. If a manager tells me to get a clubgoer out the club or bar I do so. I done picked up big ass guidos, nikkas and bytches and threw them down the back steps despite them hitting me with "you know who I am or I'm female or you know who my mother/father is or I'm from Brooklyn" etc. I would have done it for free but security dude right here getting paid to do a job despite it being technically wrong. You just do the job and let stuff sort out behind the scenes. Nowadays you put hands on a nikka they ready to sue and press charges or get you fired. I struggle with this still

If you’re gonna accuse me of sneaking into the theater, have some proof before you approach me about what one of your employees said. In other words, do your job. It would take the manager all of five minutes to confirm what he was told. This dude paid, got concessions and yet, somehow, someone saw him sneak in through the back? White people do shyt like this to really let us know where we are and aren’t welcome and if that’s how it is, I’m a tell you about it and fukk you if you don’t like it.

Hate to break it to ya--but they don't have to show you anything. You can be arrested without "proof" of meeting your standards. Like it or not, the accusation is enough to remove you by force if necessary if you refuse. Remember, it's their establishment, not yours. You don't have a right to be there just because you think that you do.

I'm not trying to be a hard ass...but that's how it is.

Now do you have rights? Absolutely, you an sue after the fact especially when you make your case in front of a judge + you can sue the police department for the arrest and the security company. Do it the smart way--not the hard way, because while your claiming "racism", they're claiming "stop resisting."

But like I said earlier--I'd just show my ticket, get the names of everyone there, the time and get a few witnesses with phone numbers, and put in a compliant to the Manager and/or owner.
