no because they're handing another game in the series off to another developer and there's obvious hints of concurrent development of separate games in the series by different developers.

i guess you can't see the beginnings of a parallel to a series like say Call of Duty which started out being developed by Infinity Ward. the original game in that series and the next game by the same developer were two years apart then a second developer was added and now the games are released annually.

Assassins creed was 2007 the sequel was 2009 then they added other teams to the main team to speed up development of sequels.

This game will be fine they already have the engine to work with it'd be pretty tough to not make a decent game IMO.
