You gotta keep watching the jokes build on each other, there are several running gags that'll have you dying once you catch on. I didn't like it at first either, thought it was overrated. It's the comedy version of the Wire in that aspect.

It's a funny show. But you can't be on your phone or distracted bc you'll lose focus easily of what's funny

You had to be there fam.
Nowadays its going to look sort of overrrated but back in the day it was genius level.
The jokes turn into call backs that run throughout the show so everytime you watch the show again, you catch new gags.

It's easy to say something is overrated looking back, but at the time there really wasn't a show like it and if you stans shows like the Office, Superstore, Atlanta *cough cough*. Arrested Development pioneered that. The other thing is that alot of the funniest parts are not in your face. It's a like an album people say it's great and you listen to it and you don't get it until you pop it in again and realize things you didn't the first time

Didn’t find this show funny at all. My favourite comedies include Veep, Frasier, Fresh Prince, Curb & golden age Simpsons

It’s a matter of taste. I enjoyed it but it certainly isn’t in the same league as shows like Curb, Seinfeld, or even it’s always sunny.
