Iphones are consistently 3 years behind high level android phones.
Low level android phones are usually on par with the newest Iphone from a tech standpoint, and usually with a better batter life. Thats not even bringing in the fact that Android is open source and there is literally no limit to the amount of customization you can do.

my android so basic yet so effective...I dont need none of them goofy college kids apps you can miss me with all the facetime nonsense...i can pay bills, stream all professional sports games...watch slingtv (all channels), play misic (I dont need a fcking app to find music either), post on the coli, watch youtube, talk and text, watch downloaded video tutorials, and use as a hotspot for my laptop...all for like $180...like what more do I need Im good!! I lose the phone and not a single fck is given I just go drop another 180...happened twice already...

What am I making up exactly? I have an iPhone 6s Plus sitting right here with a bad ESN...not like I never owned and used an iPhone so I'm pretty sure I know what I'm talking about.

Edit: ONE simple thing made me stop using the iPhone after 4 months...I can't even run Tasker. That don't mean much to most people, but if you know about phones and software then you'd never have a phone that can't run something as simple and productive as Tasker. That wasn't the only thing of course, but probably my biggest issue

i hadn't heard of tasker. app sounds legit after reading about it.

IFTTT (If That Then This) is an alternative to Tasker that works on both iOS and Android, for anyone interested in automation on iOS.

Edit: There is also another good automation app called Workflow on iOS.

I love my iPhone and all iPhone users I know in real life are just that, people who happen to use iPhones and never give it a thought.

However, I also met some extreme Apple fanboys (only online, thankfully) who seem to tie their personal worths with their choice of phone brand. Some lament about identity crisis when they discovered Android phones do better in some areas than iPhones. Some defend Apple's throttling old phones with "true Apple customers have the asset for a $1,000 upgrade every year".

You aren't wrong, but if they don't care about tech then why do they all get on social media and brag about their new phones? You can't brag about having something that you know absolutely nothing about. I can let somebody use this HTC Evo I've had on the shelf for 6-7 years and it would be the equivalent of what they do on their new phones, so I don't get the bragging part.

They brag not for the capability but for status and the style of the phone. Still not a fan of but it but gets a lot of cool points. A lot! Still can't get an iPhone and their users and crappy iTunes.
