Every time I see an Art Barr post I think he's trying to online rap battle someone.

Oh, you think that's crazy? Check this out. This song was originally written in 1974 by a Caucasian dude......

He then turned around and re-recorded it under his own name in 1975.......

i heard that sample in a few rap songs before but i never knew it was recorded twice!something like when i "heard it though the grapevine" by Zapp then heard Marvin Gayes "Heard it through the grapevine".I was confused like a muthafukka and had to ask a older head who made it first cause it wasnt no internet back then to google.Once again thanks for the info!

I need a beat [the short version]
http://dc255.4shared.com/img/897549...3Ftsid_3D20130828-111754-9c25aab0/preview.mp3

I labeled this the short version, because there is a longer lost and sought after long version.
that cuts the reel-to-reel tape off around the seven minute mark.
which is one of the magnum opus b-sides in rap songs in history.
all long with being argueably the best solo debut single in rap history.

ll pretty much began the flawless career aesthetic for rappers in the oldschool way of thought.
as he is actually one of the only old school way of thought built rappers, who innovated and was able to dominate ny as the boy king.
till krs, came and removed the title of king from the ny scene and rap all together.

before that though,...ll was literally giving dudes the highlander king Arthur treatment.

:salute:

one of the first records to make me feel completely alive and cognitive.
of what you could accomplish at a young age, and how skilled you could get if you applied yourself.

ll was huge, for me as a kid.

PSK & Remix For P Is Free are two beats that were so grown and clearly drug related in sound that they kinda scared me as a youngin'. Like I just knew it was some really grown, tough shyt.

OOOOOHHHHHH CHHHHHHIIIIITTTTT

I DIDNT KNOW THAT KRAFTWERK IS THE GROUP THAT DID "TRANS-EUROPE EXPRESS". I ALWAYS THOUGHT THAT IT WAS A SELF-TITLED JOINT. DIDNT KNOW THAT THE GROUP'S NAME WAS KRAFTWERK.

they got a lot of stuff. I don't know how much of it has been sampled, but they put out a lot of sample-worthy chit for back then. I know PLANET ROCK was lifted from this:

spawning off of wacky's last add,..
lemme add argueably the most banging beat, and one of the best and first notable gangsta rap records in rap history.

also,..the first record I got in trouble about lyrics...
mom's flipped when she heard,...
"I fukked her from my toes to the top of my head!"
