RIP to one of the GOAT kids shows ever. It’s crazy to me that just a little bit of a bump in federal funding could have PBS lookin like a commercial free version of BBC but nothing is sacred. If it was up to these smelly savage gangly apes Sesame Street would’ve been in the burbs, Reading Rainbow would’ve been hosted by David Duke, and Arthur would’ve revolved around Buster since he was white

Now I know it primarily for the memes vs actually watching it but still a god tier run for a childrens show

Arthur was one of the first shows I remember watching. Going to my aunt's apartment on weekends mane. I'll never forget it.

In the meantime, I hope y'all realize Arthur was one of the most savage shows out there when it comes to dialogue

Damn I remember when it first started….I was in 3rd grade

Breh….It’s crazy how outta all of them PBS Kids and WETA Kids programs that we grew up on in the 90’s and early 2K’s, only Arthur has outlasted all them muhfukkas (excluding Sesame Street)


Arthur outlasted the likes of Dragon Tales, Between The Lions, Cyber Chase, Clifford, Teletubbies, Big Comfy Couch, Adventures from the Book of Virtues, The Magic School Bus, and even fukking Barney (show was so phenomenal back in the 90’s, only Pokémon rivaled it on that level).

RIP to one of the last remaining and cherished living fossils of my childhood. Forever the GOAT PBS kids show


P.S. The Techno version to the song’s intro is a fukking classic…Came out around the time I started 3rd grade in 2000

The goat cartoon so many great memories watching it as a kid


I recently started showing my nephew's the episodes and they love watching it

Except the Mr Ratburn wedding episode that one don't exist to me

One of the only cartoons I can still watch consistently and not get tired of it, especially like the first ten seasons cause that's when I was growing up

If that’s true, this new generation is truly different fr It was kinda fukked up yeah but DW was lowkey asking for it and barely any of us who grew up on the OG seasons even winched at that part of the episode lmao

Classic low key back in the early-mid 00s PBS had a lot of good early morning/after school cartoons.

I would get out from elementary school around 2:30 pm just in time to catch Arthur coming on at 3 o'clock and mom would pop a Kid Cuisine in the microwave for a quick snack until dinner time those memories, bruhs.

By the mid 2K’s, I was checking out Postcards from Buster, Cyber Chase, and Maya & Miguel too even while being in middle school

Quite possibly the GOAT episode from the whole show and Arthur had a lotta awesome episodes. That particular episode is right up there with the “Squidward’s Band” episode of SpongeBob.
