because i don't think saying women in brazil are not all just one thing and talking about diversity is that ground breaking. women from there are unfairly stereotyped as submissive sluts. i agree to some extent but did the article really need to be that long?

It's not only black men who do this. Everyone has a warped idea of what Brazilian woman are. Too much porn. I'm all for sampling women in different countries but if that's all you're going for then that's corny. A lot of you fake militants would be heated if this article was about white men fukking black women in an African country.

I have noticed that some of the brothers take on this white supremacy tone when speaking on poorer blacks or darker ones. Take @Chris.B for example. It's not okay just because the white man does. Imagine how our black Brazilian sisters feel when they find out some black american men are no different than these white devils.

I believe the article itself was trying to bring to light African Americans lack of understanding of Brazilian culture and how they let stereotypes feed into their perspective of Brazilian women and prostitution in Brazil. Since Black men and women in America have a "strained" relationship, the article suggests that these men are traveling to Brazil intent on having sex with Brazilian women thinking that Brazilian women are different from African American women. In doing so they judge them by old European standards of beauty and put them on an imaginary pedestal because they believe them to be more exotic because of their mixture. Do I believe this to be true of all Black men who travel to Brazil or anywhere for that matter? No, because that isn't my experience. I don't think traveling is the issue more than having experiences that you learn from is.

But what the author I believe is attempting to do is make black men who travel to Brazil see that there is more to Brazil than just women. There is a rich culture there as well.

I do think Black Men need to travel more. But you are 100 percent correct by saying there is more to life then p*ssy. If you ever go to any majority city, or any area, you can learn a lot just by walking around by yourself and observing. There is so much we miss out on because of our objectives to find the perfect in humans.

I also think we demand way too much from black women.

Then don't call it exploitation. That word doesn;t even closely apply here at all. I still don't understand how its considered sex tourism when we do it, but when whites go to other nations for centuries, raping was a not only common, but expected of the native women...why is there outrage that black men go to another nation to have sex or find women? We aren't going their prostituting or raping like whites...what's the problem? I myself enjoy African American women, but it's everyone own choice to go after whatever woman they want. There are other things in this world we need to be more concerned with than this crap.

Who said that it isnt when they do it, and just because they do it doesnt mean its right for everyone to do. We arent on the same level as cacs when it comes to this but I just feel due to our background of being vicitims of many exploits we should be so willing to hop on the bandwagon. Maybe I hold us blacks to a higher standard, idk. I just dont like the idea of traveling to purchase companionship. Finding love yes, but i just cant c/s what people are doing to the poor population of a country

well it was also about how most black men seem to only be concerned with sex tourism when they talk about or visit the country. about how it seems like black men are attracted to mixed women (and more or less trying to shame them for those two things).
