Meek messed up by coming with an answer TOO fast. Dude isn't creative enough to just go in the studio and drop heat that fast and it showed. He let everyone get him all in his feelings and he sounded like a scorned ho who was presenting evidence of her man cheating.

Right. In the end, Meek was right, he was telling the truth. That's a fact, Drake doesn't write all of his raps. Doesn't matter if Meek was being emotional or that he blew his chances, and it doesn't matter if most rappers do it. He put a name out, and the evidence shows that it's not always him behind the pen. Drake hasn't even addressed the issue fully. And despite everything else, Wanna Know had facts. The only thing that failed him was the execution, he tried to do too much.
He's not even that deep of a hole, if you consider both sides. It's not even Drake that got him here, it was everyone chiming in and the memes that did it. Unless AR-AB told Drake that Meek is gay or a murderer, Meek seemingly has more on Drake than Drake does on Meek. And the public is fickle. If he could manage to drop a fire diss, he could start changing the tides and maybe get people on his side with his third.
