U right, maybe height to shoulders and armspan make people appear taller or shorter more than height to top of head - Dwight has 7-4.5 wingspan and a 9-3 reach where as Hill has a 7-1 wingspan and a 9'0 reach so maybe Dwight is straight up built like a bigger taller person

There are still big men freak athletes in the league, they just don't have the skillset.

The Clippers got a couple of 'em (Deandre, Hollins) and of course you've got Javalle McGee, Tyson Chandler, Derrick Favors, amongst others.

There are still big men freak athletes in the league, they just don't have the skillset.

The Clippers got a couple of 'em (Deandre, Hollins) and of course you've got Javalle McGee, Tyson Chandler, Derrick Favors, amongst others.

Yah I don't mean big man freaks the league is loaded with those and always has been - I meant the rarer legit 7 footer freaks, ones that tower over the other big men and make em look like guards and forwards yet can outrun outjump and outmuscle anyone. U go to draftexpress ull see most of the bigs in the L aren't 7 foot they are a little bit under. Every once in a while u get a 7 footer tho and once in a blue moon that 7 footer turns out to have freak athleticism and back in the day that came with good post-play training too which is where the moves come in. But even post-moves aside its like were missing 7 footers who can fly right now - Bynum / Thabeet / Lopez twins... I mean we got true 7 footers in the league but none of them move around like prime Gilmore, Shaq, Robinson, Wilt, Kareem used too - we overdue for a legit 7 foot freak again

Well, there's a reason those guys were special. That shyt is RARE AS fukk. There's only a handful of them in the HISTORY of the league, it's not like the league was full of them in the 60s or 70s. The next 7 foot freak who towers everyone and is still more athletic than everyone is probably going to be a jump shooting chucker though.
