Same here.
Never remembered light skinned broads and dark skinned broads having any serious beef at my school.
Light skinned broads mostly dated light skinned brehs (especially athletes) while dark skinned broads dated both dark and light brehs depending on who stepped to them first.
Only fights I ever saw were WITHIN the same color spectrum (light vs light and dark vs dark).
Light skinned broads occupied the most extreme ends (pretty and prissy versus ratchet and hood) while the dark skinned broads were in the middle.

Cac media uses light skinned racially ambiguous women to represent black women while black men lust after light skin women while openly trashing dark skin women with African features.

What we're not supposed to do is stand here and claim that dark-skinned black women have no reason for acting out the way they do when history has shown time and again (to this very day) how the system is harsher on them than the light-skinned counterparts claiming hurt over having their hair cut or some stupid shyt like that.
Like light-skinned people haven't been complicit in the mistreatment of their darker-skinned counterparts throughout slavery.
Does the system affect light-skinned black people as well? You're goddamn right it does, but I'll be damned if you try to convince me that the light skinned ones get the shorter end of the stick, or even the same end of the stick as the dark-skinned ones.
I'll celebrate the Zendayas and the Drakes all day errday, but they not equipped to stay on balance in the oppressions scale with their darker skinned counterparts.
Added note: It's mad dark-skinned nikkas historically who only dated red-bones to ensure their seeds face a softer world AND because they thought they couldn't pull a white girl. Times have changed, black has been thoroughly fetishized to whites (PAWGing is a lot easier and less deadly these days), so now skipping to a white girl is way easier and these same nikkas get to choose, guess which choice they make more often than not?
