I think the original is the better song, but the remix just has everything perfect about it, from the beat, to the hook, to the video, shyt just had a lot of emotion built into a track... the original never could've gotten the mainstream appeal that the remix got

The original version was lyrically better and always felt more "real" to me. but the remix had too much pull as far as radio hit elements. The crossroads remix had like 5 hooks in it lol. Plus the isley brothers sample was fire
