i'll give it another go but i think they're at their best with that Suave House funky sound
Of course ain't nothin fukking with their Suave House records, but that Livin legends album was pretty damn great...shocked me how fresh it sounded and it still sounds great today

Exactly. They're legends in the south. They never really blew up nationally though. They're heavily revered in the south though. But we were always on some other shyt down here...

ball and g aren't underrated...they are southern royalty that get many props from east to west...but they just got that mainstream co-sign too late for them to blow up like that on new York/east coast airwaves....puff tried, but it was too late...if that biggie and 8ball collabo would've happened like it was supposed to though, they would've blown up mainstream wise like ugk did after 'big pimpin'....

They wasn't really getting play in the west. Only way I knew about them is when they had that MTV buzz in the mid 90's especially wtih mjg's solo buzz. That candy song got plenty of airplay
I said props, not play....but they got play on the west too, you just didn't pay attention....anyway, rappers and some rap fans from the west knew ball and g early on cause the south and west fukked with each other heavy....besides just listening to the music from the regions cause people thought it was good, they were kinda forced to band together cause the east coast/new York airwaves weren't giving a shyt about no one but themselves at the time...
8 ball's solo album = must listen
