First and foremost the Eazy-E co-sign was huge.

Wu was a new totally unknown group. BONE also obviously had a lot more commercial friendly sound.

And before someone posts some gangster ass shyt like "Down Foe My Thang", I'm talking about shyt like "Cross Roads", "1st of tha Month", "Look into My Eyes", etc.

"If I Could Teach The World" won an American Music Award. Their sound was way more poppy and commercially viable than Wu.

This has nothing to do with east coast bias. I don't know if this board is predominantly an east coast board or not, but I do know that the most ardent Wu stans aren't even from NY. They have strong followers nationally and internationally. Wu is just a bigger and more influential group in hip hop than Bone are. They were in the 90's and they are so now. Bone sold more records, sure, because they have a sound that can easily be absorbed by the pop audience. For people to come in here and try to act like Wu are the Lords of the Underground, or some shyt, is trolling.
