As a halal food forum, can we admit that turkey bacon is trash?

Stop trying to eat bacon then :what: it's not that damn complicated
Imagine some vegan complaining about how vegan 'wings' don't compare but then trying to compensate when they're called out and claim they can cook.

That's you
Honestly, you right and I sincerely apologize for implying you were a paid turkey shill. That was inappropriate on my part.

I will say that maybe I'm OD for shytting on turkey bacon because bacon period is not even a staple for me. But I bought some turkey bacon a while ago and it's just been staring me in the face every time I look in my fridge. I froze it and then let it thaw. Now every time I open my refrigerator, this buttcheek style bacon just right there pissing me off.

:pachaha:

I hear ya. I mean, I suggest that you leave Turkey bacon alone. Are you willing to eat swine bacon again?

Me, if I crave for breakfast meat, I will get Turkey sausage or patties, hamburger patty, chicken sausage or simply do without any breakfast meat.

I don't eat swine! So, I deal with what comes with that choice.

Unless it was a mistake or necessity, nah, I couldn't see myself going back. I think part of my frustration is that I'm the main one that cooks in my household, so I end up making a lot of stuff I don't like and the turkey bacon has always just turned out be dissatisfying. Maybe I'm just more of a sausage type of dude. Pause.

Truth be told, I am not a huge fan of Turkey bacon as well..

But, I strongly prefer to not eat any pork products! So, with that comes limitations. I learned to adjust to my choice. I already I mentioned my alternative protein intakes.

My suggestion is for you to eat something else. You can live without bacon. It isn't that serious.

I'm done living this lie. Just based on the simple fact that it's simply reshaped poultry makes it unequivocal asscheekery. However, the real issue is that it never gets the correct level of crispy. Unless I'm cooking it wrong (I've done oven and stovetop), it's gotta go.
Turkey bacon is ok. its like stopping smoking Menthols and starting smoking Malboro lights.

You should try a better quality turkey bacon. I stay away major name brands. I stick to Applegate Naturals. It's uncured and made from leg meat. I'm not sure if it's region specific because it's based in NJ. There's also similar one I get from BJs

Applegate is what I get here in Illinois. Most uncured turkey bacon is a good cut of meat.
