As a kid I never really respected Cal Ripken's streak

Ripken's streak is definitely impressive considering all the odd injuries baseball players seem to come down with.

Favre's streak is the craziest to me though. Damn near 300 consecutive games in arguably the most violent sport. You got guys like Teddy Bridgewater who come in and get hurt their first start. The fact that Favre went 18+ years without missing a start is unfathomable. Nobody is ever going to come close to that.

The weirdest thing was, I played football and baseball most of my life growing up and I never got hurt in football outside of lingering nagging shyt like hitting my fingers on helmets, big cuts, bruised bones, etc. I would get hurt in baseball all the time. Got hit in the face playing the hot corner. Tore ligaments in my hand after I hit a line shot to the gap trying to round first base. Pulled muscles in my back at the batting cages. Its like track. You gon get hurt.
