You should also pull the emergency brake before you change a tire.

And, put the lugs on a bit, then tighten in a star pattern, don't go in order.

I'm pretty sure that I can figure it out since I know all of the required tools, and I have a tad bit of mechanical understanding to deduce wtf I should be doing.

That said, I prepped my car so that I'd NEVER have to be in that situation (Portable phone charger, regular car check-ups / preventative maintenance, knowledge of my cars limitations, etc.) without being able to hit up USAA or AAA.

Why do it when I have AAA?

I pay for convenience like most people. I don't need to know how to fix a tire or change the oil. I do what most people do and take my shyt to the dealership and have them do it.

What I do is build or assemble shyt around the house. I may do light work repairs, but anything major...

Call a professional or use my insurance & pay a small deductible to fix the problem.

You can learn how to change a tire in two seconds.

The wheel has to be on the ground, get a lug wrench and loosen the lug nuts.

Jack up the car, remove the flat tire, place the spare tire on, fasten the lug nuts, un jack the car so the wheel is on the ground and then tighten the lug nuts with the lug wrench.

Changing a tire has to be one of the most simplest things.

Get a compressor and an air impact wrench at some point OP. Make it easier on yourself.

I don't even remember anyone teaching me how to change a tire, I just got the tools out and did it when it needed to be done.

Once I even had to change a tire in the church parking lot cause some fool didn't know how to take care of his own car.
