I don’t have him ranked, at all. When I think of Hip Hop's greatest producers, 40 isn't someone that's ever going to come to mind. And that's no shade. He just isn't up there with the greats, to me. Not even close to being.

Son doesn't even really rank imo. He's cool. If I rank him it would be maybe top 150.
He never has anything that I think is more than just solid for the vibe but I actually think that speaks to his ability to allow the vocalist shine which is an ability in of itself.

Hes dope. I always like it when you hear him produce the rare beat for other people.
But as others have said, his job is basically making other peoples beats sound like Drake songs. I'm sure it pays great, hes basically only a producer because Drake asked him to make beats, that wasn't his ambition.

@jadillac Do you agree with this list?Anyways @stomchlines to answer your question in the OP, I think at this point in 40's career as a Producer, 40 is like Diddy & Dr. Dre where they work with other producers who do a lot of the work and 40 mixes & puts the sound together for Drake. 40 was much bigger driving factor in Drake's sound earlier in Drake's career.
