The casual fan hasn’t stopped consuming the game they just do it differently.
The attention span to watch a 48 minute basketball with play stoppages multiple times a week isn’t there and neither is the access.
They still consume the game through social media hot takes, sports gambling, YouTube compilations of all the baskets in the game.
We’re in an era with lack of attention span and people in here are basically deliberately trying to slow the game down. How does that bode well?
