As An Atheist Why Do You Celebrate Holidays And Induldge In Demonic Activity?

I try not to engage in those activities because of my personal ethics. among other things, I think dishonesty tends to be very selfish, and doesn't lead to progress

Most people who are athiests at least hope something exists beyond, and part of it is not wanting to be bound by religious rules which can be limiting...mostly with sexual behavior and for the fact that there is a clear difference between biblical accounts and what we know to be true scientifically.
I still say people complicate religion when even Jesus said as long as you treat others the way you want to be treated it covers everything and should make you a good person...and maybe you can go beyond that and actually try to do good in the world as opposed to just not being bad

it ain't like Christmas is a reao Christian holiday anyways. Where you see Santa in the bible?

tradition and for the kids. Christmas has always been about spending time with the fam and Easter is just an excuse to cook chicken and eat chocolate

why do parents get mad at their kids telling lies when it's the parents and other adults teaching them how to lie???
people who claim they are atheists or just don't deal with religion shouldn't take part in the activities. gifts/tree(jeremiah.10:1-4)/easter eggs, etc.

this might be a joke thread, but what the heck...
as an agnostic, i do things that could be considered celebrating the common american holidays that have some basis in christianity such as christmas and whatnot. i buy and receive christmas gifts, eat my mom's cooking on all holidays because she goes all out and makes greens and stuff. i also love to watch some holiday movies
i dont think anything i do is demonic. i dont want to hurt people, so sociopath behavior is out of the question, and i dont want to befriend things like this:
because it doesnt take a religious person to see that something that looks that ugly does not have my best interests in mind. actually, much of the media i consume features the slaying of demons

and some people choose not to participate at all. ultimately exchanging gifts, and/or telling your kids a lie about a bearded fat man, has nothing to do with "religion"

no need to. Christmas ain't about Christ and it's not like we go to church on Easter. We're just Dominican and it's a good excuse to get grandma to make something she normally doesn't

@ people thinking Christmas has anything to do with Jesus' birthday... You can always tell who hasnt done a lick of research.I celebrate Gift Giving Day with my family. I do not celebrate the fertility holiday (easter) because I see no benefit in it. No other day has been hijacked by religion.
