But Black celebrity has never meant liberation. At best, a door opened.

The Black celebrity is celebrated for their artistry, which the world cannot deny itself..

But that artistic appreciation doesn't necessarily equate to freedom for Black people as a whole or the artist themself..it's meaningless in the grand scheme of life.
