I asked a bunch of my female coworkers their take on this album and it was overwhelmingly negative :laff: The consensus was pretty much the signing was bad, “I’m supposed to fukk to THIS:hhh:???” and “nothing about this is sexy” :dead::dead:

My problem with Ray Daniels is…why does he keep ignoring what Drake was called? Like, aint no “aw man you got me” after that :gucci:

:mindblown:

Ray really wants Drake to just …like…be cool with that :laff:

He doesn’t have to be cool with it. The issue is the lawsuit. It’s nonsensical and the opposite of our culture. Nobody respects this. And if this album bombs? Oh boy.

I hate to say “Jay-Z did it!” (because the situations are obviously different)…but…yeah when your name is your name, you can’t let people play with it. These recalls of “its rap beef” sound like “these are playground rules!”...

I’m sorry bro, the wrestling rules end at the arena.

It’s certainly uncharted territory but confusing entertainment and reality is how we ended up in this mess in the first place.

Trying to police “the culture” that also endorsed anti-snitching and a whole other host of “dont bring them folks into our little game” politics and rule setting has endorsed a lot of nonsensical things. Its like we’re playing kayfabe and dont like to turn the lights on :francis:

Again, I’m not trying to go out of my way to defend Drake here, but… Ray keeps ignoring that this is more than “aw man he called me lame”. I’m sure Drake isn’t unused to hearing that since 2009.

You’re veering closed to flip flopping. For months you said this wasn’t about the song’s lyrics, it was about alleged label fukkery. Now your saying Drake had to sue because of what was said…

And I agree because the label stuff was always a legal excuse. As we speak the Party/Drake album is all over the playlists. Which is always the case when Drake AND Kendrick drop albums. So nah it’s about the song and I think most urban people find that pathetic. He’s a loser. Only his Stan’s can deny it.

Unless there's something fishy going on, he's severly underperforming, barely doing half of future last album numbers on streaming, and that already did 250k.

But a lot of people are expecting him to buy his own physical products thats going for only 4.99 usd :dead:
Apple Music will be his saving grace and carry the album to a decent/good debut

He just broke SZA's record for R&B debuts. nikkas on AM will never leave him

I hope you do realize Apple is the smallest plateform...doing numbers on apple doesn't mean shyt, spotify is the main one.
R&b records also don't mean shyt. Streaming wise, this is doing half the numbers of any rap album that reached 250K last year.

For comparison, Vultures 2 by Kanye had slightly better streams on Apple, and much better streams on Spotify, and did 107k first week...

There's definitely more Drake songs on Us apple (although top 4 has 2 kendrick songs, including first spot), but the numbers are significantly lower than what his peers pulled when they dropped an album.
And apple has always had less impact than spotify

2nd and 3rd days are even worse

SO no, this is not cracking 250k, if it's already getting outperformed by a 100k album...unless something weird going on.
