They almost had a breakthrough with UCLA and Cal being top 25 teams this year but both of them flopped
I assume TAMU is the second biggest draw in Texas and they've been average at best for 3 years now, and Baylor/TCU both are consistently right below title tier
If they want consistent 2005 Rose Bowl 2013 BCS NC ratings, then yeah, they're going to need USC, Texas. ND, a FL representative to all be on top of their shyt. I wish we had a 8 playoff system just to see the numbers, USC, Texas, ND, FSU, AU, UA, OSU, and Michigan/Oklahoma would draw

There already is a college football holiday tradition....January 1st. Been that way for decades, and for good reason (more viewership). No channel schedules major shows/events on NYE because they know people won't be around TVs on that day.I love the NYE idea. it's gonna turn into a new tradition. thanksgiving is NFL Xmas is NBA and NYE is ncaa playoffs. I'm down.also good excuse to keep people at home instead of going out and drinking themselves to death on NYE
