I'm still stuck in my D'Angelo catalog. Ain't hating on these new cats but if they can't sing live and play some instruments I might just pass on them.

Completely understand what you're saying. What about someone like Gallant? Probably one of my favorite newer singers. I was sold after seeing his NPR Tiny Desk video.

Not bad at all, after listening to a few of his tracks, I can say I like his style. Daniel Caesar is a favorite of mine of the new artists out. H.E.R. is at the top of my female lists, just came from her concert, she was jammin on guitar, floating on the keys, and killin the vocals.

Not gonna lie I miss a lot of R&B soul singers from my era: D'Angelo, Bilal, Anthony Hamilton, Maxwell. I will have to check out further these new cats.
