I find it kinda fukked up how NOBODY is giving ANY props to the rise of battle rap and the URL in the past few years when they're the ones who influenced the shyt that kendrick is doing now


Battle rap was literally the only place to see nikkas really going at each others necks on a high level for a very long time now, but Kendrick drops a verse and nikkas act like competitive rap is some new wave


Damn near every big name rapper has been becoming more vocal about their support of battle rap in the past year or so, but nah we gonna give all the credit to Kendrick and not the battle leagues and rappers who have been keeping the competitive nature of hip hop alive when it was at it's lowest, softest point

Im not taking anything away from what the lil nikka did because mainstream rap needed that push BADLY....Im just sayin respect the nikkas who held it down before him

nikka every year more and more big name rappers and atheletes are showing up to these events to show support, shyt Adrian Broner and Kevin Durant were at the last event
