nikka WHERE DO YOU THINK EMINEM GOT THAT shyt FROM HE USED TO BE A BATTLE RAPPER IT COMES FULL CIRCLE
jesus omar you just made yourself look dumb
edit: still can't believe you really said eminem like you really had no clue that he came from the battle rap culture

It's clear you either didn't read my entire post or you're not fluent in english. I'm legitimately fearful of your reading comprehension ability based on this response.
You oversimplified the point you're trying to articulate. Your initial post is implying that it's
contemporary battle rap, a la Grindtime, URL, etc. that inspired him and this response, but then again, I don't know what your actual point is.
The entire basis of your thread is a tremendous reach is all I'm saying.
Do you truly understand what I wrote in my post? Be honest because I don't think you do.
"This shyt existed prior to the mainstreaming of rap, even before 8 Mile and Eminem"
:
what the fukk kind of implication did you take from my post b?
Then again you're all over the place in your first post; your writing is about as lucid as a Death Grips song played backwards.
Competitive minded lyrics have existed for decades and you're acting like it's some new thing. If anything, they haven't been influenced by recent years per your implication, they've been influenced by decades and decades of material and older artists.
I'm not even talking about pure "battle rap" where two grown men recite vitriolic poems at one another; this is just a part of hip-hop the bare bones music by itself.
"Battling" in music goes back hundreds upon hundreds of years, it's a natural element in all kinds of music and in a braggadocio genre like hip-hop, no shyt, you're going to have people "battling" each other.
Tldr: You're giving the recent, contemporary rap leagues way too much credit.
