Even totally ignoring the vast difference in sales....BIG was the face of NY for a minute....literally credited by some people as "bringing NY back" when the West was dominating....you could erase Ross from history and the South's placement in the game would be exactly the same.

So I'm kinda confused about the criteria here. You can say you prefer Ross over BIG....but that's about it. By any objective measurement they're not remotely on the same level.

Ross isn't an A-list rapper. He never was. People like Wayne, Jeezy, TI, hell even Luda, would be comparable to BIG, Wu-Tang, Nas, Jay, etc. in terms of importance in their respective regions and eras.
