As midterms approach, do you think Obama should get more involved? Or should he keep a low profile?

:mjlol: at people in here acting like Obama wouldn't have an impact. He absolutely can have in a positive impact in districts where it could go either way. Most of the candidates Trump endorsed failed. Most of the candidates Obama endorsed succeeded.

The Democratic Party Got Crushed During The Obama Presidency. Here's Why
During Obama's eight years in office, the Democrats have lost more House, Senate, state legislative and governors seats than under any other president.
When Obama took office, there were 60 Democratic senators; now there are 46. The number of House seats held by Democrats has shrunk from 257 to 188.

There are now nine fewer Democratic governors than in 2009. Democrats currently hold fewer elected offices nationwide than at any time since the 1920s.

He should fix Chicago either as a community activist, a run as mayor, or a run as governor of Illinois. He did his part for the Dems. He and them need to move on.

None of that is because of Obama himself.

It's because the Dem base doesn't vote in midterms, is gerrymandered, and is clustered in cities.

Politics run in cycles idiot and the candidates he endorsed after his presidency were favored to win anyway so what the fukk are you even talking about...Point is it would be horrible to trot obama out there in the mid terms...Dems need to move on and find whoever is going to run for 2020 and get them on the trail now.

The dnc lost focus and the democrat base was not as feverish to vote durning the midterms.

They didnt spend as much time focusing on state seats and local elections

lol if you think Trump being a disaster won't give Obama in edge in attracting moderate or swing voting.

At this point any Democrat with a winning shot would be lucky to be endorsed by Obama. You forget popular Presidents tend to be better remembered/more popular once they leave office.

Trump was a disaster before he got in office and the Dems still got there shyt pushed in...that type of thinking is exactly why Hillary lost..Dems need new blood out in front to swing the pendulum
