I was responding to OP in that first post of mine here.

I know that feminism used to be about those things and that it used to have a certain purpose, but it's jumped the shark. It's not about equal rights any more. It's about unfair alimony laws, brow beating men out of expressing their sexuality, making violence against men okay while suggesting that violence against women is just so much worse for some reason, and perpetuating the wage gap myth. They do this by pushing the slander that all problems from society come from the "patriarchy," in other words everything masculine and male, and that the solution for this is "feminism," in other words everything feminine and female.

What do you think Andrea Dworkin was about? You can't have a movement and make it all rainbows and butterflies because people make mistakes. To err is human. There are good and bad parts of it. I can tell you both.

Exactly. Feminism is simply the freedom to operate in a society as each individual women sees fit, good and bad, and to not be restricted based on the whims of dominant class control who assume they "know whats best". Its not a blanket defense of any and everything women, and all of their respective behaviors. Its amazing how people confuse such.

I don't really care either way. y'all need to realize the game will never change on a fundamental level.

to me, feminism seems to be about choice and options. feminists want women to have the freedom to choose what type of life they want to live. If they want to be career women or housewives. if they want to be "virtuous" women or sluts. and everything in between. fair enough. I'm all for freedom. but at the same time if you're free to choose, men are also free to choose which type of women they want. We can also choose if we want to marry or not. These options/freedom/choices women say they want seem to have awaken something in men as well. We don't have to marry you, commit to you, provide for you, protect you, etc. It's a choice as well. Women seem miserable now because men are starting to realize that we also have freedom and options. If you want us to do all that you have to make us want to do it. You can't force us, just like we can't force you to choose certain options.

like i said, i don't really care how things turn out for society. either way i'll have to either adapt or die. I think people are just tired of some groups wanting it both ways. People want to have their cake and eat it too.

This goes beyond genders. We are all free. The flip side is that all other human beings are all free not to give a fukk about your wants and needs and don't owe you anything. If you want something from someone else (material, services, favors, affection, security, fulfillment of emotional needs, etc, etc) you have to influence them so that they want to do it for you.

if a girl is not interested in commitment after sex or doesn't care about commitment in general, that's cool too. But if one day she is, the rules don't all of a sudden change just for her.
