not saying I agree with this response, but it is a response
Essential Concepts: How Patriarchy and Rape Culture Hurt Men | Change Happens: The SAFER Blog
going slightly off topic, I don't know what race you are, but one thing I believe is that white male patriarchy is harmful to everyone who isn't a white male. I believe white male patriarchy and racism go hand and hand, which is what I was trying to say in that black feminism thread I made awhile back. but ya'll were so stuck on the term "black feminism" and what you thought it meant that ya'll weren't trying to hear it

I'm with you on racism. I'm not black, I'm Mexican-American, though, to be clear. I also think that they are the
last two things to be going hand in hand and should be treated separately because they're two different things.
I'll also say that this blog is complete bullshyt with its unfair labeling, though. It operates off of the immediate assumption that it's maleness and the mythical patriarchy's fault that men have the problems that they do. Maybe it's the fact that women are just as guilty, if not even more guilty of pushing these standards on men and dismissing those who don't adhere as unworthy, therefore making the assumption that it's a "patriarchal" ideal pretty baseless?
In the end, some obscure blogs don't mean anything to me because absolutely
zero political action and
zero political capital has been spent on repairing harms that have been caused by men's gender roles. All they do is pay lip service, which means absolutely
nothing. It's a way for feminism to look like it cares without having to sacrifice or do anything meaningful to help men. Pretty two-faced of feminists to do.
