he wasnt better than tex on the rangers, and he probably wasnt better than aramis on the cubs. hes also not near the hall of fame, regardless what you use as the measuring stick. and vlad is a pretty easy vote to the hall

maybe not better than derrek lee either

lee ramirez and soriano all good player but not stars or MVP material

No way Alfonso gets in the Hall I don't believe. But he has had a very good career though.

I think Soriano has pretty much been the best player on every team he's ever played for with the exception of NYY

Players who have had higher single-season WARs in seasons they played alongside "HOF Candidate" Alfonso Soriano

And I'm not including anything past 2009, or when he was a Yankee, because that seemed unfair.

Kevin Mench (Twice)
Gary Mathews Jr
Michael Young
Hank Blalock
David Delucci
Aramis Ramirez
Mike Fontenot
Geovany Soto
Ryan Theriot
Marlon Byrd
Tyler Colvin

And the capper....and this might be my favorite thing ever now, so thank you for making me look this shyt up at 10:30 on a Monday night...

EVERY PLAYER WHO PLAYED IN AT LEAST ONE GAME FOR THE 2009 CUBS NOT NAMED AARON MILES

I honestly think a better thread would be if Crime Dog is HOF worthy, or if Chipper is 1st ballot worthy :ohhh:

i dont worry about those dinosaurs and their first ballot nonsense. if a dude is in the hall in my book, hes in on the first ballot.

This is the baseball HOF though, w/ how tough it is to get in, there's a certain honor to gettin' in on the 1st ballot. I understand ur disdain for the appropriation, i.e. Willie Mays for instance, however history shouldn't re-write itself. I believe there should be a distinction between Babe Ruth, and Jeter, but I can already tell there's no convincin' ya. We'll disagree to agree on this
