If blacks don't want it used around them I won't use it. I usually know who would get offended by it anyway though so I don't have any issues.
Gotcha, but I guess what I'm trying to ask is why did you say to not use it around white people? If its a "term of endearment" and a way to uplift other black people, why shouldn't it be used around certain people?

I sound weird saying it too. I totally understand.
I know I didn't articulate it that well but I'm shocked that these dudes are shocked that saying nikka doesn't come naturally to some folks.

I figured we all know other black folks that if they were to say nikka on a regular basis even other black people "nah it doesn't even sound right coming from you" not in an offensive way just like they're faking. Not saying it makes me a better person or anything I'm just honest about my image.

Also like I said I've never used the word because my family outside of an uncle never used the word like that either. Just not part of my world even when I listened to hip hop most of my life.

Because it gives white people ammo to use the word too. (It's a free country, if you guys use it why can't I) (I'm just singing a song :lolbron:). So basically I'd support rappers no longer using the word
