Meltzer said if the ratings get at or near 1.3, it will be time to worry. WWE brings in almost no ad revenue, the only reason to have it on the channel is their ratings.

1.3 seems hard to believe.. but most would have said the low 2's they're getting now would have been hard to believe not too long ago :sas2:

I remember sometime after Kane being unmasked, there were reports saying some of those Raws "dropped to a scary new low", which at the time was probably right under 4. Boooyyyyyy the WWE would kill for a 3.8 today :russ::mjlol:

The problem as I understand is that despite the ratings, USA can't charge 1/4 of what they would for a show with half the ratings of Raw due to the stigma of the business. USA is likely glad they have WWE still though because they can prop up their overall average ratings.

Didn't all TV shows drop in ratings though?

Meltzer said something a couple days ago about WWE ratings falling quicker than other shows so you never know.

If I remember correctly, WWE mentioned cord cutting as a problem at a shareholders call but Dave says WWE ratings have fallen 20% over the last year while USA has only lost 2 -- 3% of households.

This will eventually catch up to WWE and Comcast will low ball them again next contract
