I got Jay Rock above Schoolboy Q. He dont get the props he deserves, especially considering TDE came up on his back.

He's nice with his, he just needs to stay away from the Dre 2001 sounding beats.

The Documentary only really gets called classics on music forums. In real life GRODT is accepted as a classic. Even 50's "enemies" including Game, Khaled and Ross have admitted GRODT is classic :usure:

Which's possible. Jay rock is dope mc. His delivery/voice are up there with the best. I can see him making a street anthem any time.

Jay Rock Ft. Ab-Soul "NO JOKE" www.thegorillaflix.com - YouTube

He's never had good production which is why people have slept on him so far.

But when he has nice production like this he can be :whoo: I think dude is about to step up somethin serious next year.

Jay Rock 'YOLA' Official Music Video - YouTube

do yourself a favour & check out his Follow Me Home album. released on Strange Music in 2011. pretty dope, not on the level of TDE releases from this year but it was the one that made me notice Jay Rock. before that i just thought he was some Game clone

Yeah that album was a banger, high production values, varied subject matter, and dope features from all of TDE including the black hippy classic "wassup", don't sleep, shyt was hard.

Hes a good artist but I honestly think he would be better off stepping back and letting the younger guys ride out and doing what he is with TDE. He has it dialed in well and they have great momentum. TDE is his label and hes making a lot of money with all these deals, etc.

Younger guys??? Jay Rock is the same age as schoolboy Q
